In 2011-12, Business Events Sydney (BESydney) secured a record 103 business events for Sydney that will attract more than 58,016 delegates, who will spend more than 249,787 days in the city. The business will generate in excess of $225.6 million in economic impact for New South Wales (NSW).

World Conference on Lung Cancer, 2013


This event is expected to attract up to 8,000 delegates to Sydney and inject approximately $19 million into the NSW economy.


105th Rotary International Convention 2014


This event is expected to attract up to 18,000 delegates who will spend 72,000 delegate days in Sydney and deliver an economic impact of $60.5 million to the NSW economy.


IUCN World Parks Congress, 2014

APAO Sydney 2011

Many exciting advances in the field of eye health were unveiled when more than 4,000 delegates from 67 countries converged on Sydney in March 2011 for one of the biggest eye health conferences ever held in Australia – the 26th Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Congress.
