"I was born in Australia but grew up in Canada where I lived until I was 7, when my family moved to Australia. I studied at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) completing my Bachelor of Arts in European Studies and French.
"I decided on this major because I dreamed that one day I would work in an Australian embassy somewhere in Europe and figured that these skills would help me achieve that dream.
"My love for tourism began when I worked for a hotel as a front desk clerk while I was studying. Shortly after, I completed an event management course where I discovered so many more interesting facets of the tourism industry. It was confirmed - tourism was going to be my career!
"It wasn’t long before I heard the call of my other home away from home and went back to Canada for a working holiday. I worked in various roles from telemarketing to waitressing to my personal favourite, making chocolate! I then headed south to the US and Central America where I developed my passion for salsa and meringue dancing.
"I joined Business Events Sydney in August 2008 as Research Executive and have found it a very warm and welcoming place to work.
"In my spare time I enjoy venturing out with my husband and son and exploring Sydney, taking a bike ride or going to the beach and of course a little shopping along the way.
"Sydney has so many beaches that it’s hard to pick just one but I love that Sydney is so big, there is always something new to do. There is so much diversity and culture and there is never a dull moment."
"My love for tourism began when I worked for a hotel as a front desk clerk while I was studying."
