"After studying Architecture at the University of New South Wales I began my career as an architectural assistant working for three years in domestic architecture. After gaining some experience I moved into architectural illustration, eventually starting my own company, Wardman Varga which I built into a highly creative and reliable consultancy, practising for all most 10 years.
"As an architectural illustrator I produced work for most of the major architectural projects that were being developed in and around Sydney such as the Walsh Bay Redevelopment Project, East Circular Quay, Sydney Olympic Park, as well as the Sydney 2000 Olympic Bid Book.
"I specialised in hand drawn illustration which has now become a dying art form due to the increased use of computer generated drawings.
"Although I love art and design, I decided it was time for a career change. I started with a two month contract with Business Events Sydney (BESydney) and three years later I still call BESydney my home away from home!
"I have found that many of the skills I developed, and the clients that I worked with, during my architecture career have greatly helped in my transition, but I have also learnt new skills on the job.
"In early 2009 I was promoted to Head of Sales Research and I am responsible for sourcing new business opportunities for Sydney. I was instrumental in the production of a Global Research Report in 2007, which is now used by BESydney for planning purposes and future business lead generation. This is particularly relevant to helping us stay competitive in the global market.
"I still have a passion for the arts and find my creative expression through painting on weekends in my inner city studio, located in the hub of Sydney's cafe culture."
" I was instrumental in the production of a Global Research Report in 2007."
