"I was born and raised in Singapore but chose to study in Western Australia at Murdoch University. While studying a Bachelor of Commerce I met the woman of my dreams and we returned to Singapore together in 1997. We were married in 2001 and returned to Sydney in 2006.
"I have more than seven years experience in life and general insurance. I developed my skills through a variety of positions at various companies, including as an Assistant Accountant, Training Executive, Business Development Manager, Assistant to Vice President, Head of an Agency Recruitment Unit, and Acting Head of an Executive Development Program. In all my roles I am pleased to say I was able to increase the productivity of each organisation.
"In 2004 I started my own company, Premier Link International. It was essentially an internet platform for overseas students worldwide to network and share ideas. During this time I also successfully secured various retailers to offer privileges and discounts to our 700 international members.
"When my wife and I returned to Sydney in 2006 I thought that it would be a good time to seek out a new professional challenge in a new environment. In early 2006 I became an employee of Business Events Sydney (BESydney) as a Business Development Manager and in mid 2007 moved across to the Bid Management team as Bid Manager.
"The best part of my job is winning bids on an international platform. It is almost like competing in the Olympics, against all of the other countries. I love the winning feeling when you know you have beaten some of the best countries in the world.
"Family has always been very important to me and in early 2007 we welcomed the first addition to our family, a baby boy. The first but hopefully not the last!"
